#HappyDoctorsDay
Dedicated to all those courageous people who chose #Medicine against all odds. It takes a lot of guts to chose this subject when one stands at a juncture after Matriculation. Choosing medicine is the beginning of an endless journey of studying and keeping oneself updated with latest indications and evolving therapies. It takes on an avg between 8-10yrs to settle down as a Doctor. Due to 1st UG(#MBBS) followed by PG(#MD, #DNB) in most of the cases.
I have few friends who studied Medicine and I was shocked to witness the hardships they go through during their PG course. They need to be on continuous duty for up to 36/48 hrs. When I first got to know I couldn't believe this. As HR I found it inhumane. I asked them what is your Policy or timing guidelines? to my utter surprise, there is no such policy due to many reasons. Shortage of #Doctors across the country being one of them. They slog day in day out to become practitioners.
It's a tough profession for sure. People driven by the passion for Medicine go for it. I wish all such marvelous people Happy Doctor's Day.
